Duties
Airport guides or airport ambassadors may be full or part-time workers who provide assistance and information to airport passengers. They may provide ground transportation or curbside assistance. Ambassadors often explain to passengers what services are available to them at the airport. They may also be responsible for alerting maintenance employees about malfunctioning restrooms, elevators, or other equipment. At airports owned by a government agency, you will have to apply for these jobs through that agency. Their employment offices are often located away from the airport. The application process may include taking a civil service exam. Other airports may be privately or commercially owned. They will either hire employees themselves or use a management contractor to handling their hiring.
